Didactic sequences play a fundamental role in the educational field, since they have a series of advantages and significant importance in the learning process. The present systematization, arises due to the motivational and didactic lack that is provided in the classroom to facilitate the explanation of phenomena and the comprehensive use of scientific knowledge, and also, to highlight the ancestral and cultural knowledge in the students of grade 9 of the Santa Maria Goretti Educational Institution; Thus was born the need to implement a teaching strategy that motivates and encourages learning, in this case, a didactic sequence in the area of biology, to strengthen actions and eloquent skills that allow students to understand and comprehend the thematic axes of the area. The methodology is framed in an interpretative paradigm, with a qualitative approach, and a case study, oriented under observation techniques. The results obtained show the importance of a didactic sequence in the classroom to capture the interest and attention of the students, achieving that they are motivated, feel an attraction and understanding for the topic used, likewise, it could be evidenced that the students left the apathy for Natural Sciences and began to take a more active participation in each activity developed. ; El diseño didáctico desempeña un papel fundamental en el ámbito educativo, ya que tienen una serie de ventajas e importancia significativa en los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje. La presente sistematización, surge debido a la falta motivacional y didáctica que se brinda en el aula de clase para facilitar la explicación de fenómenos y el uso comprensivo del conocimiento científico, además de resaltar el conocimiento ancestral y cultural en los estudiantes del grado 9 de la Institución Educativa Santa María Goretti Montería-Colombia.
