A recent study conducted by researchers at Polytechnique Montreal explores the use of a low-temperature surface plasmon resonance (SPR) assay for assessing the galactosylation and fucosylation of monoclonal antibodies (MAbs). The researchers produced different lots of glycosylated Trastuzumab (TZM) and characterized their glycosylation profiles. They then compared the interaction kinetics of these lots with various Fc gamma receptors (Fc gamma Rs) at different temperatures. The study found that the proposed method, which is rapid and requires a small sample concentration, could be a valuable tool for monitoring MAb glycosylation. [Extracted from the article]
