This article focuses on education in industrial and labor relations at the Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. The New York State School of Industrial and Labor Relations was founded by the Joint Legislative Committee on Industrial and Labor Conditions of the State Legislature. Later, it was proposed that the school be placed under the Board of Trustees of Cornell University. The goal of the school is to provide knowledge to those in the field of organized labor, management and government to determine the course of industrial relations and labor conditions in the U.S.
