In Çocuk ve Allah (The Child and God) (1940) by Fazıl Hüsnü Dağlarca (1915-2008) it is seen that there is a genuine connection between the historical Turkish literature. In this piece, the context which does not reveal itself easily and a complex poetic fiction can be analyzed only with an exploratory examination. It is noticeable that the poet constructed his poetic action process in a way that coincides with a remarkable poetic fiction. The subject fiction finds a meaning when it is analyzed along with mythic, symbolic and imaginary usage in our literature. In this context, it is aimed to analyze the area of meaning which is represented by the fiction that is shaped as the "symbolism of birds and trees" by considering the usage of symbols of 'birds' and 'trees' in Turkish mythology and religious-sufic texts. It is established that, as a reflection of the poet's vitalist approach of his world view, 'the tree' has an extensive part in the work, 'the birds' are sensed as creatures which brings poem/word from the eternal world and are used directly as a metaphor which implies the poem/word. The meeting of the birds with the trees, symbolizes the idea of creation of the poem by the poetic subject and the linguistic eternal life. The poem/word creation of the poetic subject is also an acquisition or "nasib" (destiny) of the eternality of life. By the perception of poet that the action of poem/word creation obtains life to be eternal, he achieves aforementioned fiction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
